Default amp rack ideas

I've sort of built an amp rack out of some shelve type units I found in my garage. I knocked the ends off, and connected them using some backstraps. lol. My question is whether you think I should just carpet around the entire box enclosing the amps so they're hidden, or if I should carpet all edges of the box, remove the top beams that run from side to side, and use plexiglass or something similar so you can see the amps. Now, if you say the plexiglass route, how much does that usually cost? thanks!

You can probably see that I'm pretty bad at fabricating stuff by how that amp rack looks.

if you cover them you may have heat issues, keep that in mind when fabricating ... many amps, especially the lower end stuff overheat alot

ah, I've never had any heat issues with these amps. US Acoustics was highly recommended back when I bought them 2 years ago at www.elitecaraudio.com Now, it'* hard to find their amps. They actually put out what they're rated. Been great amps so far. Do you suggest I carpet all edges of the box, then leave the top opened?

Maybe you can put a small 12v fan in there to blow air from a side, and some holes in the plexi.
