Can find out. The kit the guy had looked pretty complete. What are "projectors"?

These are my headlights. the round lights are the projectors. They cast light in a very precise beam with a very distinctive cut-off line.

I do not have HID lighting however, I do have 9005 (high beam) bulbs in the lowbeams though. This is possible because they're projectors. They light up brighter where they're supposed to, and there isn't any "stray" light to blind oncoming drivers. Even with 9005'* in my low beams I have NEVER been flashed by another oncoming driver and my lights are very bright, but do not cast light where an oncoming driver would be driving.. That'* why you need projectors especially with HID lighting kits.

Custom, you have halogen projectors. Which isn't a bad thing. I'm just stating.

Yup. I mentioned that they were the halogen version of a projector, not HID. However, they look pretty near the same externally. The difference is inside; how the reflectors are designed. HID bulbs and halogen bulbs have totally different light characteristics. Using the housing meant for the other type of bulb will result in a beam pattern that is not correct.

This thread has all of your questions answered basically.
