Default Box Size

Hey,
My sub lists recommended box size of 1.5 cu ft. What are the negatives of using a smaller box....say 1.1 or 1.2?

Less air for the sub cone to push so the cone might clip and damage itself. Unless you port the box you should go with what is recomended.

Well their isnt a really big chain that sells boxes. You could get a nice one from Best Buy or Circut City but would be paying alot... There are boxes for sale on Ebay and sometimes you can get a good deal. Otherwise you could make it yourself and carpet it.
