How would I hook up the amp.
Ok so I don't have the moeny to get the system I want (new headunit and all new speakers etc..),but I do have a cheapo Sony Exploid amp that I would like to hook up (my factory amp is missing). How would you go about hooking the amp up to the factory headunit and not have wires all over the place?

i ran all of my stuff under the carpet underneath the door sills.... though i don't know how easy this is in a bonny, it was VERY simple in a MC. i also hid my amp under the driver'* seat and poked very small holes in the carpet for the wiring to pass through.

There are kits available that wire up to your rear speakers. You just wire it up to two speakers and you are then able to plug RCA'* into it that you can run to the amp. Then just run the power wire, ground, and remote the same as you would in any other system. The one I had was called an iec auloc. If you google it you will see what I'm talking about.

i believe those are refered to as line convertors, i bought a Scoche one years ago thinking i would need it, but my ~1995 era head unit already had a pair of RCA outs.

I guess I was wanting to run it up to the factory head unit. Its a 1000watt Sony Amp that I am going to try to hook up to my MTX Sub...If I could get it to hookup to the rest of the system that would be awesome, but that didn't work in my Grand Prix...the problem on the GP was getting it to the battery...since the battery is under the back seat on the bonnie, that should be easy. I really just need to know were I should hook the wiring to on the headunit while keeping all the other stuff working right.

Oh and I am not sure where the stock amp was...(the car was in a wreck when it was 2yrs old and there are some peculiar things showing up all over the car).
