ive got:
Alpine HU
Type R 5.25 component set up front
Type R 6X9'* in the back
Type R 12'* (2)
Alpine V-12 amps (2) (4 channel for the highs and mids, 2 channel for the subs)
4 Gauge wiring (Rockford Fosgate)

it hits ok, but i got ripped off at the shop and didnt even know it, and one of my damn 5.25'* pops when it get real loud. oh well. its just money right? and yes, alpine stuff does sound better with other alpine stuff, before i got my HU, i had a Panasonic. i hit like crazy, but when i put in the Alpine HU, SQ was SSSOOOO much better

Just have the standard bose cd system in my 98 SSEi. But I have an Alpine 7894 deck (the orange color buttons look great in my 88 LE at night.) infinity 4x6 plates in the dash, pioneer 4way 6x9s in the back deck and 2 alpine type r 12 with a rockford 750s running them. The only problem i have with the system is that my alternator is not big enough to run it loud. If i get the volume over 20 the battery light comes on. The deck and subs are gonna get moved into the 98 sooner or later. If the stock bose speakers sound good enough when i get the deck moved they'll stay or if they don't there are some infinity componets and 6x9'* ive been looking at.

Sounds like some nice equipment you guys are running, here'* what I'm pushing out of my Bonne

Kenwood KDC-X859 receiver
Kenwood (can't find last year'* model number, they're KFC-XW1205db but last year'* design) 12" subs
Had a Profile California series 1000W amp 'til I blew it out, too restrictive of a power output, new alternator is pending (suggestions for a high output alternator on a '94SSEi?)
Pioneer TS-A6953 6x9s in the back
Factory 5 1/4 up front
Factory tweeters all around

Actually going out today to run new wires for the rears since I can't find a wiring harness or wiring schematic for the Bonne speaker layout.

While I'm on the subject of audio in my Bonne, I seem to be having a problem. When I crank the volume up in my receiver past 23 or so the overheating switch in the receiver kills the sound (internal amp in the receiver, I think) 'til I turn off the receiver and turn it back on. Could this be a problem from related to the Bonne'* not putting out enough power to the receiver and it'* overheating by trying to pull too much power, or could it be linked to my factory amplification? When I had the subs hooked up through the external ports on the receiver and the audio would cut out but the subs were still functioning. Ideas?

Default M wanna brag 2

I got infinnity kappa 6x9 in the rear deck, infinnity coponent in the doors all being powered by a sony 800watt max amp. I have 2 8 inch bazooka tubes, and a 10 inch sub in bandpass box in the trunk being powered by a seperate sony 800 watt max amp. I also have 2 8 inch 2 way bozzoka marine speakers underneath the trunk being powered by their own 300 watt max pioneer amp. All amps are running through a 2 farad capacitator. Lastly I have a sony head unit with the matching red and amber lights and a eq with amber lights to match the dash lights. I also have all the proper wiring which as many of may know is a must (I blew my fuse 2 and melted my because I didn't have a distributor block once). I am probably going to do away with the sony amps because as soon as my trunck gets hot (which is takes about an hour) the amps cut themselves off. Any sugguestions ?

you blew the fuse on the power cable or the fuse for the amp? I don't like fuses on the power cable, I use a 100 amp circuit breaker.

Default power

The power cable. I was trying to get with the original hooke up in the car, but as you well know I need thicker wire. I eventually got it and everything works fine now. What I do have to get is a heavy duty altenator. I would appreciate it if some one could give a part number and a price and what the alt puts out.
