bad radio reception (possible fix)
Ok so I'm sure alot of you have seen my posts in the past about my bad radio reception. I tried a new antenna (no fix). I tried new antenna wires (no fix) I tried a new radio (no fix). So I figured I was stuck with this crappy reception forever but I think I may have fixed it.
My dad was snooping around alldata and came up with a customer complaint about poor AM reception and how engine noise would be heard in the speakers. Alldata suggests the use of a ground strap connected to the exhaust system from the chassis. this is because the exhaust acts as an antenna and interferes with the real antenna. The exhaust is isolated from the car because of the rubber mounts.
Well I connected a ground strap yesterday and that seems to have done the trick. I will report back later with further findings but for now I am very happy.

Cool. Sounds like a simple enough fix, since the radio station I usually listen too is kinda crap (only country station in town, so why spend money trying to outdo no competetion? This isn't a theory, either. One of my friends was a DJ there, and they told them that was their plan )
Maybe I can finally get some variety and pick up some out of the metro stations too...

Yea.. this would definitely help me out.. was there a certain gauge wire you have to use and used? Pics are always awesome for those visual learners like me
