Massage seats and flashing lights installed!!!!
That'* right, I finally got my new subs and amp installed, sort of.
I am working on a full custom installation of both my amps and subs but haven't gotton real far yet. So far I got everything hooked up but none of the frameing is in for any of it, except the sub box is made. It will look sweet as hell when it is done.
After I finally got it all hooked up around 9pm tonight I went out for a drive to test it out. All I have to say is it takes a sick, sick mind to come up with audio equipment that can pound so hard and so clean. The subs hit so hard that you can feel the bass resinate thru me to the front of the car (aka: massage seats). Oh, it feels soooooo goooood!
Now you may be wondering what is the flashing lights I be talking about???? Simple. That little 2 channel amp pulls so much power that all the dash lights and headlights dim at every bass hit. I plan on getting a 1farad cap to fix this, but it'* kinda nice knowing I got a real system now.
It took me about 20 minutes to blow the first 60amp fuse. Something about "DMX - X Gonna Give it to Ya" didn't go over very well. The subs were hitting incredibly hard and then the next beat there was almost no hit. Damn fuse blew. Drove home, checked the fuse and even though is said 60 it was about half as thick of an element as the 60 amp fuses I had bought seperate of the wiring kit. So I installed a new fuse and tried it again. This time it passed the DMX test with flying colors. Now I just hope I finish the rest of the system installation before the snow flies here.
Here are some night shots of the install:

I am actually looking for a 1.5+ farad cap. I found a site the other day that someone had a breakdown for the farad size needed for certain output watts. For mine the best would be a 1.5+ in size. I have looked on ebay and there are a lot of nice ones out there for cheap.
