Dual Battery System: 56k Grab a drink
Well i started ripping out the wiring from the alt to the battery and battery to the fuse center.
And then added something to help support my computer and future lights:
140 Amp isolator... CRAP i dont know where to put the horn now.
Im going way overkill and using 1ga wire, for reasons no-one knows... ok i do, i like to overkill.
Battery going in the trunk:
It will power the computer, 1260W of amps, and accessory lighting. It has 75 AH and weighs as much as a small horse. (I had it laying around, so the next one will be lighter but why not use a $200 battery when you got it)
Other fun electronics: this is the future home of a small control panel for all my accessories
The crude beginnings of a relay panel controlled by a cat-5 wire so i could theoretically have 8 relays with no fancy electronics... and then if necessary i could do addressing and have MILLIONS!!
And then at 9:59 i realized i didnt have crimp on connectors to finish the job and all the stores close by 10 so tomorrow i should be done with this phase!

No, this isnt a bomb, its a huge capacitor/relay to extend the amplifier ON time by approx 3-4 seconds to avoid pops when i switch from ON to ACC. It also does the service of filtering the amplifier and computer ON circuit.
Finished Trunk, minus battery and battery box and computer.
For CorvetteCrazy: Here is the crimp tool for any gauge wire from 8 - 4/0 that we rented for free through connections but had to put down $1800 deposit on.

1800 down... wow... well it will for sure get the job done... how bout if ya just took them to an audio install shop and have them crimp for ya... either way ya got it done.. and looks pretty good!!!

Looking good!! At least your taking care of the power first which usually is an afterthought with most people.
When I did my 0 gauge wire install in my Eclipse (2400 watt system) I used a hammer to crimp on the ring terminal. lol It worked quite nicely!!
Cant wait to see the finished project!!
