Advanced Keys - Products
They have kits that are RFID controlled that unlock and lock your doors when you get close and walk away like BMW, MB, and Lexus
I'm thinking about doing it, just waitng to get an installation manual from the manufacturer

It certainly looks like a great unit for a decent price. I'll wait and see what you end up doing Crunk and get your input on it for I make any hasty decisions on trying.

Yah I will if I buy it, i'm waiting on the manuals to see how difficult it would be, doesn't seem like too much to wire up, and the remote is smaller than a credit card, and really thin so I think it would fit in a wallet

I'd consider it but I really like the FOB keytag and it'* other functions. I couldnt be without the trunk open and horn to find it at WallyWorld. LOL

Yah I was thnking about what to do with the remote, since mine likes to be annoying and work from short distance it doesn't help with finding it very much, I'll keep it on my key ring since the remote for the new system is thin as a credit card, I'll probably put that in my wallet
what problems did you have oboxus?

If you leave the keys in the car,,,,, I used to set mine on the center counsol cover when it was in the garage.
At times it would decide just to lock the doors,,,,,,,,, then you have to sit there and rock the car trying to get it to unlock the doors.
Also,,,,walking up to the car didnt always do it,,,, you would have to shake the remote at times.
Ill take a regular FOB anyday

For the 200 for the parts and replacing the battery in the remote every 2 weeks I think I'm just going to put a little push button start somewhere
