Nope.. no annoying chirp or honk needed. If you have the locking gas cap door.. listen for the THUNK as you lock it down.

he dosnet, he has a SLE ....anyway i was thinking that if you hook the lock wire up to the horn you could possible make the horn chirp when the locks were activated...there have been one or 2 threads in the past dealing with this, although noone has doen it yet

and yes if you lock the car from the inside the instide lights will stay on, for a period of time

the newer cars (OBD II) flash the lights and honk the horn when locked

You'll need to wire in a bridge between the horn or light relay, and the lock signal from the RAC (remote accessory module).

Now that I have an FSM i might do this, just need some time, and patience i think..

when I lock my car with the remote, the car honks once and the interior lights go off, the headlamps only stay on if I have the twlight sentinel on and its dark outside. yes i can also hear the loud gas door lock thump/

when i press unlock once, my drivers door unlocks and the headlamps/interior lights come on for a few seconds, when i press it twice everything unlocks

Hrm, locking gas door = hard to add. Therefore that means an SSE/I

SSE/i are atleast 100lbs heavier then my car. Heavier cars handle worse then lighter cars, have more wear, and need more grunt to move just as well. Which in a 3800 means an eaton, which means gas that costs minimum 30c more per gallon, and i'd have to sell my car, and buy another, which will cost more...

Or I could run a wire. and have the car I want.
