Default Will this unit fit in my car?

I know that it will "fit". I've got an 87. I already have the newer harness and antenna installed in my car because i have a newer delco unit in it right now, but i want a CD player. My radio mounts to the top with 2 bolts. Would i basically just have to cut off those two tabs on the side and JB weld my mounting thing on the top? Or should i just not bother.

does the 87 have the same plugs as the 90? cuz i put that radio in my 90 SSE and all i did was bend back the side mounts, and used super glue to connect the old top bracket onto the radio, and installed. i had no problems at all. altho i had to cut off one of the little snaps on the end of the bracket.

Sometime in '88 was when Gm changed to the new-style wire connector and miniature Motorola antenna plug. But i have converted my car to the smaller style antenna and new-style plug because i needed a radio and i picked up a very nice delco cassette (the factory optional fancy one) at a junkyard for $18 bucks. But maybe i'll just leave the one i have in there and use my cassette adaptor, but i need to buy a new one of those. Mine only likes to play out of the left channels unless you sit there and jiggle the cord for 5 minutes. Thanks guys.
