hmm looking for suggestions
ok im gonna get a new head unit with the dvd player in it but not a flip out screen and im kind of wondering if anyone had any suggestions, i have found a couple i have in mind but i am wanting more input
here'* what i need
dvd/mp3
am/fm
sub or speaker output
video/audio input
built in or can add on tv tuner
last position memory
some sort of display on the front that shows time and things like that
it'* amazing how specific this actually is when it doesn't seem that hard to find but it narrows it down a ton. thanks for all your help

I can only think of a couple off the top of my head, that are new anyway. Pioneer DVH-something. I remember looking at it... it has tv tuner controls and an a/v-in but doesn't do surround sound on-board. I think it also controls XM. Rockford Fosgate has one that does 5.1 on-board, but it doesn't have tv-tuner control. I really don't see how you could save all that much going with this type of unit, considering the outboard processing and amplification required, not to mention wiring up the screen(*). If you are not dead-set on getting 5.1 surround, i'd suggest buying a nice headunit with aux-in, and go find a dvd-player and screen on ebay. I think I saw a package deal for $299 or something recently...
