Default GMOS-09 or PAC C2R-GM32R

I am wanting to know if someone has had luck with either harness? What are your success stories or horror stories with either harness? On their 2000+ Bonnie with OnStar and factory amplified system. From my understanding OnStar is not retained with the PAC module. I have a 2002 SSEI with Monsoon. That I am wanting to put an aftermarket radio in.

I just did mine with the pac unit. Same audio system as yours. Works fine. Although, I will say that I didn't use any of the speaker connections. All my audio is done w/ aftermarket amps w/ RCAs so I didn't utilize the speaker leads on the module. I basically used it for the chime, RAP, and 12v acc power.

I also put a piece of tape over the hole in the module for the chime sound because it was quite loud and sounds kinda cheap, but I don't really care much about that.

Got it for $60 on eBay.

DO9105- You were able to use the PAC unit with your factory amplified system? Is the only thing you lost OnStar? Is there any other issues with the PAC unit or is it a direct hookup with the aftermarket cd player harness? I know there are issues with the GMOS-09 and want to make sure the PAC isn't the same way.

I don't have a factory amplified system.. But I'm pretty sure theres another thread that has talked about this and I'm also pretty sure theres additional wiring that you need to do (could be wrong). But other than that it was just taping wires together and plugging the harness into the car and into the headunit.
