New street comp system coming together!
Just purchased 2 12" dual 4 ohm Rockford HX2'* and 2 12" dual 4 ohm Rockford P3'*. In a quad box. I will be porting each chamber. Each chamber is about 1.8 cubic feet. So if i install 4 inch diamteter round ports 10" deep.. it will be tuned to about 38-40hz. I know thats a little high but thats the only way i can make this box useable.. its to small to remain sealed. All will wire the box down to a 2 ohm load.
I am purchasing a Memphis 16 pr-1.1000 amp next weekend. I know this amp wont beable to push the subs at RMS or above... so after a short time i might remove two of the subs (kind of the reason i will run all 4 for a short time.. to see which i like better, the HX2'* or the P3'*)

Try pulling up to me one day.
15" Hifonics Olympus, 1600W RMS @ 1 ohm, running on a Hifonics 1600W @ 1 ohm RMS amp.
What I really want though is old school. An 18" Kove Audio U2 Armageddon. That literally would take up my entire trunk.

Its not all in just the subs. I'm very curious to see how you're going to build this enclosure. I built mine custom and tuned it to 32hz, which is just above the free air resonance frequency. Its a ~3.25 cubic foot ported enclosure, reinforced at all edges and corners internally. One day I'd love to meet up with you and hear what sounds like. I can only imagine that 4 subs will move a lot of air.
