Default GM Radio Ques

While visiting a local used parts store this morning I found a radio that came from a 99 grand Am. It is the one with the cassette player, CD player and graphic equalizer. Just curious if this unit will fit into the 92 Bonnie radio chassis. The unit I have now is the am/fm stero with cassette. I am more interested in the cd player. Thanks.

Now that I think about the faceplate does appear to be larger that my stock unit. I may have to go back for a comparison. There was an assortment of about 20 different gm radios setting on the shelf. Just kind of like to have one with the built in cd player.

Depends on the radio. I would need to see a picture. The only ones that I know will match exactly are from 92 and 93 Bonnevilles. Others require varying degrees of work.

Here'* my dashboard....

That'* not a direct fit - Follow my procedure to install it. If you can get it with a wiring harness, you are better off. If you do not have electronic climate control, you are even more better off.

fuddyduddy121, Saw pic on website this morning for a unit out of a 93 Bonne. This would just be a direct swap with no unneccessary wiring right? Shown is what I have now.

This one out of 93 Bonne Model# 16170212
