Ok..I just did this two nights ago.

On the package you bought the connector in..there'* microscopic writing that tells you what each color wire is for.

On your Cd player there should be a section in the book that tells you which color wire is for.

Match them up. Most likely each color will correspond near perfectly. At this point you need to figure out how you are going to connect them. I use heat shrink tubing and solder them together. Most people crimp them and then tape them up with black electrical tape. Once you have that all done plug it in and enjoy your new tunes.

I keep forgetting the rating system. It'* a one beer project. Shouldn't take you any longer than that one beer lasts. Piece of cake.

what model of CD player do you have....there should be directions for the CD player to tell you what it should interface with on the harness, after the harness is wired up the harness just plugs right in to the factory wiring

You'll probably find that the wire colors on the CD player are the same as the ones on the wire harness. This is done for a reason... so you can just match the colors. Red to red, yellow to yellow, green with a black stripe to a green with a black stripe, you get the picture.

Some older Pioneer units and really, really old stuff will not follow the standard wiring.
