neat! Ur gonna mount the sub in the middle and not to the opposite side of the port? Not sure if one way is better than the other, but i have heard that mounting the sub at the end makes full use of the volume of the box.

Yep, smack dab in the middle. I've heard and seen the opposite. I helped a friend build a box for 2 18'*, when he designed his box he had it to where the subs would fire directly to the back wall of the box, completely missing the port wall and it sounded like poo. Changed the design to allow the subs to fire off the port wall and that mothasucka pounded! It doesn't even sound logical at all about "using the full volume of the box", both ways are utilizing the full volume of the box...I don't know how to fully explain how/why it matters but i'm sure one of my buddies does so I'll hit some up today and will have an answer for you guys later.
