Default Portable GPS Nav unit

I see ads for Tom tom and garmins new nav unit. Was wondering if any club members are using one and how they like it.
Is this a cool gizmo to have or just a real easy way to get lost?

i sell them where i work. the garmin'* are great units, you can find a very basic one, the c330 for around 300-400. the tomtoms mess up a lot. we have 2 demos that we have to do a hard reset on about once a week where as we haven't had to do that on a garmin in about 8 months.
