I think you '00+ owners are in good shape!
Just saw a ad from Metra (a big manufacturer or radio kits for cars) for a GM Interface that specfically mentions the '00+ Bonneville as a car it supports. It even had a plug for the ribbon cable!
The part is called the GMOS-05 "Dock-n-Lock" interface.
