06 GMC stereo not playing cds right
Ive burned a few CD-Rs some work fine and lately if i put a cd in it will play the first song or first few and then make sounds like the laser is moving back and forth not knowing what to do, this happens also if i try to skip songs. I read somewhere about slowing down your burn speed I took it from maximum to 4x and it STILL does it. Im getting fed up with this and i dont have the money right now to replace it.. any ideas? I have a stock delphi 6 disc changer with the 6 bose speakers.
Also any recommendations on a good brand of converter to play my ipod through the radio.. if I cant do cds I at least want my ipod to sound good in there.. right now it doesnt.

Does it do it with regular music cd'* that you buy at the store? If not, then the problem is either the discs or the fact the stereo does not like cd-r'*. I have a couple CD-R'* that my 97 deck does not like, but will play a regular music cd just fine.

Hehe, my stock Delphi doesn't play ANYTHING! I can't even put a CD in the dang player.
Mike asks a good question though, what does it do with "real" CDs?

Real cds are fine ilike I said an article said something about slowing the burn speed so it writes more like a real cd but have had no luck yet I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem and what they did

Try changing the brand of CD-R'*. I have had the same issue for years with stock HU'* not reading these discs very well. Think its time we all sit around and do some research of what discs work well and burn speeds.

I usually use those too. Have you tried getting someone else to burn a cd on their computer? Maybe its something in your cd burner or the program you're using..
