Bluetooth car kit installation.
I am going to attemp to hookup a Motorola IHF 1000 Bluetooth Car kit to my 2002 Bonneville SLE Radio. the car has OnStar and I was hoping to wire the kit using the OnStar connections if possible. I don't mind disconnecting the OnStar to get this kit to work if needed. My radio has the CD/TAPE option. Has anyone been successful at this or can I get a schematic of the Bonneville radio and Onstar system? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the brilliant replies!

hmm, this is interesting, but what I'd like to know is if this will have any affect on the PCM, since onstar monitors it constantly

Thanks for the information. The car kit requires an auxilary input and a muting input to mute the radio when a call comes in. I can use the option of the 5 watt speaker that works well but I would rather use the radio if possible. Thanks
Connect the YELLOW Entertainment Mute Wire to the
vehicle’* entertainment system.
Note: This feature is only operational if the vehicle’*
radio supports this capability. Installation may require
an optional relay (not included).
Note: The ORANGE and BLUE wires are not used.
(These wires are used to connect the line-level audio to
the vehicle radio, if the radio supports this feature.)

Does anyone have a schematic of the outputs form the Delco Radio used in the 2002 Bonneville SLE? I have the six speaker combo w/tape and CD player as one unit. I may have to install a relay to make the car kit work through the speakers with mute option.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The only schematic in the FSM'* is the power ones Archon supplied.
YOu know what might work.. is something along the lines of an adapter than some use when changiing out the HU. That "might" give you a method to input...but how to get the interface to be the same as the radio instead of wires... I dunno...lol

Is there a place to get 12v constant and switched? I believe the cigarette lighter has switched or "retained" so I may only need a source for the constant unless the fuse box is the only place to go. Thanx again
