New Head Unit...questions
When I installed my new head unit, I used a wiring harness from Best Buy. All but one of the clips plugged right in, the one that did not was one with only 2 wires on it, they are on the far left side and are both green. I have a 92 SE and Im just wondering what these wires are for and if there is any way i can make them fit into the wiring harness? Thanks in advance!

Ahh yes, the 92/93 radios.
I believe one of the green wires is for the steering wheel controls, and the other one is a link for the data line that comes through your climate control. Both of which you won't need with a new head unit.
It sounds like you don't have ATC, because you would have a purple and white wire also.
I'll double check those soon.
Did you pull a CD player or a Tape deck?

Is your radio compatible with steering wheel controls?
You can buy an add-on interface which is compatible with some radios that have remote control capability. The interface will allow you to regain some steering wheel functionality.

Ask Best Buy if you can regain steering wheel control functionality, or if they sell an add-on steering wheel control adapter. Some adapters are also offered online, but they need to be compatible with your new radio and car.

The radio must be designed to accept the varying voltage signal from your Pontiac'* steering wheel controls. Most radios are not designed that way, but some aftermarket add-on adapters are made which can interpret the varying voltage code given off by your steering wheel controls

Regarding getting back your steering wheel controls, here is a site that sells the addons.

I havent bought these nor can I recommend them, but it may interest you. I may use one when I finally get sick of my factory AC Delco system that doesnt work properly.
