1995 Bonneville SE audio questions
Could I get some suggestions on a system for this car? I am looking for quality sound ( not sound that will rattle the car to pieces and the car next to it. Loud is good... but only loud that sounds good. What size speakers are all around the car? I would need a suggestion for a headunit as well since I still have the stock one. I don't know if it will make a difference but it is an SE model... It has almost all of the options I believe but a sunroof.
Stock sound will eventually drive me nuts since the speakers are junk in it.!!!

If you go to Crutchfield: LCD TV, Car Audio, Home Theater, Speakers, Plasma TV they have a "Outfit my Car" button which you input the year make and model, any options in the vehicle that pertain to the audio setup and they list what gear will fit or need slight modifications to fit. I have a 95 SE model and i've got 5 1/4s up front, 6x9s in the rear deck, a pioneer headunit and 4-12s. It'* loud as hell and vibrates the cars a mile up the road. Check the website and see what you come up with. The prices are a bit steep sometimes, but if you just go their for information it'* worth the time. Also, even if you just get installation gear from them, they send you a packet of how to take the door panels off, how to take your dash apart to get the CD player in and all that related info. They've been a great help for me when i'm workin on other people'* cars. Check it out!

I know this unit Pioneer DEH-P47DH will fit our cars....it is from Crutchfield. They supply the direct wiring for it too.I've heard it before and it does sound good.....tons of settings to allow you to adjust it to your own taste.

See a headunit is something I can spend a good deal of money on (upwards 300) I just have to wait until the car is paid off (in about 9 months). I really just need good suggestions on speakers to replace the ones in the car (i can hold off on a sub)

I have pioneer 4-way 6x9s in the back deck, they sound really good, even with just the headunit power. i have pioneer 2 way 5 1/4s up front but i plan on putting some Pioneer 6x8s in fiberglass, it'* hard to get even sound distribution since the front speakers face each other and the back deck speakers fire up, you hear more from the back than the front. Get some 3-way speakers and you'll be golden

Cool. I have heard Pioneers are good for the money. I am partial to Sony Xplod speakers (even the subs are not bad if you are not planning on shaking the car to pieces) So your advice is to go with at least 3 way speakers. Alright... Sounds like a great plan that I can work around.... and as for that headunit 97bonneville suggested... Its ugly lol but could work. Although if i could find a cool double din or regular sized headunit I wouldn't say no... (HINT COUGH. If anyone want'* to donate a headunit to a poor fellow who has enough trouble paying his car payments, nevermind to be able to get a headunit for about 9 months don't be afraid to PM me. Same with speakers!COUGH.HINT)
