Pioneer AVIC-D2 GPS Navigation! (02 SLE) - UPDATE: complete!
im having this bad boy put in. i figured i'd take pics today of it before i have it installed tomorrow. i saved myself some money by getting a refurb but im not worried since it was done by pioneer, plus its not the first time i've gotten refurbed electronics. i don't know if its just me but i havn't see anyone here besides ddalder with an in-dash system which is why i throught i'd take before and after pics.

im sure itll be perfectly fine since it was inspected by pioneer. ill know for sure tomorrow.
side note- although the avic-d3 has some nice new features, it doesnt have 2 drive slots which is retarded cause you cant run the nav. while playing another disc which is half the reason i got the d2 along with the fact that its cheaper. the latest map disc came out recently so you would be on par with d3 users as far as maps & POI'*

Thats exactly what I was going to say.
I trust Pioneer'* quality and durability more than Kenwood but the fact that Pioneer makes you keep the Nav disc in while using it sucks.
I'm thinking about getting a Kenwood down the road with the hide away Nav because of this.

Hello. im new i just got a 03 bonneville. and i just got the same system you did. the avic-d2
just wondering was there any problems puting it in? did they have to cut anything out or did it just slide right in?
also how much did they charge you? the want to charge me 180.00
and do you like it? mine is also form ebay and refub.
