Default wire question,

Going to be hooking up aftermarket Foglamps, Does the I need to know which wires to splice with what. The aftermarkets have one black and one white (attached to the actaul bulb) I remebmer seeing a purple wire concerning the foglamps do I just splice the white one to the purple one? anyone with photo'* would be most appreciated.

The parking lamps must be spliced aslo correct? the aftermarkets have 7 colored rings so I'm guessing the park lamp has to be spliced to activate the rings?

I can't remember how the Angels were hooked up, it'* been awhile since I got rid of that car.

I need photo'* if someone has them thanks.

I have the 7 color pilot ones and I do not believe that you can hook the angel eyes to the parking lights because of the controller. If it is like mine you will have to push it once to turn it on and then keep on pushing the button to change the color and since you have to do that, I do not think it will work by hooking it up by tapping into the parking lights. You can just cut the connector off of the stock harness and just wire it there or you can actually disassemble the stock bulb and use it to connect to like I did. Let me see if I can dig up some pics.

Here are some pics...ok so I took the stock bulbs and cut the bulb from the connector and crimped the ends of the wires on to the metal which fed the power to the bulb

here is what it looks like without the bulb

Then I widened the little end on the wire of the fog light with something like needle nose pliers

Then I slid the connector over the terminal on the bulb

And here is the final product with heat shrink to protect the connections

I was lucky to find those pics to upload but I am not sure where my install pictures are....I installed them in 2003 so it was a while back. It should be pretty easy to bolt up the brackets...My pilot 7 color ones actually fit so tight in the fog light hole that you didn't even have to use brackets...I wire tied them to the stock brackets since they were so snug they never move.

after

what brand are yours?

got them off eBay, a company called Autopia, the product is like the Hella'* but use a more heavy duty metal and sealers to make sure moister doesn't arrive inside the inside housings themselves.

at first I wondered what the hell were you doing with the bulb, my Hella'* weren't applied like that (although that IS a good way if I wanted to return to stock) Check out the topic I made on the eBay section under Autopia and you'll see what I'm reffering to.
