Default Orion vs Eclipse sub.

Hi,
I blew my Kicker L5 and I'm sub shopping at the moment. I wanted to get some opions on Orion subs vs. Eclipse subs. I'm either going to buy an Orion P12D2/4 or an Eclipse SW7124DVC.T4.

Specs of each:
Orion : DVC 4 ohm, 500 rms, 900 peak
Eclipse : DVC 4 ohm, 450 rms, 900 peak...less expensive than orion.

Opinions? Thanks a lot!

I 2nd the Eclipse. While I don't have any experience with their sub, I put all Eclipse speakers and Amp in our old 88 Grand Prix before I sold it to a friend. That was some awesome equipment. My experience with Eclipse is that it'* great stuff.

Let me know how it sounds! I'm not going to be able to buy it for two weeks or so.

I have used Orion in the past, and still have the stuff, in storage. I had 2 NT2-15" dual voice coil subs installed in my truck, they were wired to an HCCA 250 amp, I also have a 2150 SX.

I had the subs running at 1ohm MONO on that amp, during competition I was blowing the 40 amp fuse that was right at the amp, but it kept on ticking. Once I sold that truck I kept the system ( of course) and I installed only 1 sub along with the hcca 250 amp in one of my cars. That was also insane. You wold have never guessed it was only 1 sub.

Of course you pay for the name Orion. I have never used eclipse so I can't give you any opinions on it.
