95' radio wiring question.
I was in an accident a few weeks back and totaled my 93 Taurus, and got a 95 bonnie as a replacement, but it has a few odd things, I don't know if all Bonneville'* have steering wheel contolls but this does, its got the automatic climate control and an am/fm cd player. but the weird thing is it has no speakers, the spots for them are empty, also the cd player wasn't hooked up and the wiring harness is gone, all I have is one bundle of wires dangling around back there. I was wondering what the wiring might be for all the wires and if the steering wheel controls are part of that or should it be a separate run of wires?

Hi and welcome.
Sounds like you have either an SSEi, SSE or an SE with H4U option package. Can you please tell us which model you have (and also put it into your signature area in the profile section, it will help greatly in the future)
Once we know which model, we'll be able to determine which radio used to be in it and help with the wiring.

sorry about that I forgot, its a 1995 Bonneville SE as near as I can figure, as it has no badging. a couple of those VIN lookup sites said it was an SE. but of course anything more then telling me its a 95 Bonneville SE they charge me and I don't think it would have the info about the car that I would want to know, like what it was supposed to come with when ordered from the factory

Ok.. if you look at the spare tire cover, you probably will find a code "H4U" which means the SLE or luxury package. That would explain all your options.
The wiring..I should be able to make that easy for you. I have a dash wiring harness laying in my garage and can cut it off and send to you.
On the wiring.. you'll need to use a multimeter to check where each wire goes with the FSM.. to ensure they get hooked up properly as GM used the same color more than once.
We should be able to get someone with the book to list the wiring for us. Then you'll be back in business for the radio. Speakers would be needed

thank you for the link for the codes...
looks like I have
UK3 - control, steering wheel accessory
UP3 - Radio, AM/FM, stereo,seek/scan, compact disk, equalizer, clock
also anyone have the wiring info on the harness for the radio? I just went to the junkyard and found a 92' that looked like mine, got the cup holder for the center console and yanked the wiring harness for the radio, and the rear OEM speakers, they looked brand new.
