I am going to put 3 MTX Thunder 6000 10'* in the trunk of my Bonne. Do you think that is a little excessive or no. I like a lot of bass, and a car that will turn heads. Tell me what you think. My total is 650 for (3) MTX Thunder 6000 Subwoofers, (1) 3 Sub 10" Box, (1) Kenwood eXcelon CD Reciever, (1) 600 x 1 US Acoustics Amp, and (1) Schosche EFX 4-guage wiring kit. I will be adding new 6x9'* and 5 1/4'* later.

10'* are okay, if youve got the right air space and power going to them. but i wouldnt waist money on 10'*....im going with a single 15" solo baric sub when the cash comes through. that outta be good enough to turn some heads

I had the trti box in my '91. It definently will hit with some nice clean bass unlike a 15". BUt are you getting the road/Blue thunder subs. The problem I had with the blue thunder was I getting on blowing one of the three subs out. The amp I had was the MTX Blue thunnder 150x2. I would definently get some kind of enclosure for your 6x9'* otherwise the wont last to long and youll hear popping noises when the bass hits.

I wouldnt spend that kinda money on MTX 6000'* personally. They aren't very strong IMHO, and they don't go very low. (almost 40HZ) I would recommend some Fosgate Punch HX2'*. They are 229 a piece normally for 10", but don't meausure a sub my it'* size, meausure it by it'* performance. These Fosgates POUND, and they are very clean. They are dual voice coil subs, and i've heard two of them against 3 of those MTXs (two of my friends have each system mentioned here) and the fosgates ate them for dinner. Some infinities can be had for very cheap as well, and they are very good subs. The most important thing to get is a clean amp and an enclosure that works for what kinda sound you want to get. What exactly do you want? Hard hitting bass, low stuff, or somewhere in between?

Gah...15.... Yeah get a 15 if you want beats that are off and distorted.... Get 10'* if you want nice clean bass and beats. In my opinion you might be underpowering them with that 600x1 Acoustics amp. I would go with something a lil bigger. I ran 4 10" Kicker Comp VR'* and they sounded great-loud-clean.

Overkill i think. No car needs more then two subs!!!! Two, with a good amp will always be more then you can handle/need. I guarentee!. I have one polk audio sub in a bandpass enclosure, and with the right amp and setup, it was louder then many setups i have heard.

I think I will be happy with the Thunder 6000'*.

eh mtx...the new 15"* they have are good but the ones you are lookin at are ok but you should do better. ive heard some nice kickers, comps and the square ones but the square ones hit harder, there was one guy that i saw the mall who had the new 18" square one and it was so loud it could take up to 4000w but he was only runnin 1000w it hit pretty good for how big it was but i have a friend who hads 4 10" and it sounds wierd and plays different than 2 12" i dont know its just different its just my view on it. i think you should go with twelves but dont let me hold u back if you really want those subs because they do sound pretty good but you could probaly do better with 12"* oh yah and if you really wand deep low bass from 12" my infinity perfects are pretty good thats why i got them cuz when i first heard them they hit so low and loud it was cool but they are more for sq not sp but they do get pretty loud if you want them to well happy shopping and i hope you find one that suits you well.

I don't know about those 12'*. My friend had 2 in a bandpass box in his truck, with only 8oo watts total going to them, and they blew in 3 days. Its up to you, the bigger and more speaker, the more bass, but you start to lose sound quality, so 3 10s would be a good idea. I think your on the right track...
You need to decide what kind of system you want first, SQ or SPL, then design it and make your decisions [ sound quality ] / [sound pressure level ] (MAX bass)

well he was runnin over the rms in a bandpass box...plus it doesnt matter if he blew it in 3 days he has a 1 year warrantee anyways...but they are made for sound quality but if you want them for spl you can and just turn them in if they blow under warrantee... unless he bought them off ebay or a friend.
