Brainstorm.....
Jseabert and I are in the process of replacing the carpet padding in the trunk. Took everything out, and cleaned it all up. My CD changer was wedged into a corner with a towel. It made for easier access to change CD'* (Katie could actually pull it into the back seat through the passthru on the road to change them). I like not having it bolted down.
I just hot-glued 3 long strips of velcro (the bristly side) to the bottom of the changer. I can set it anywhere in the trunk, and I'm betting it won't budge except for the occasional 9-G turn.
Am I the only one here who doesn't like it bolted down?

Mine'* a 10, but on trips, the kids want to set up their own music. I don't want it near the passhthru. Don't want anything blocking that. I'd prefer if it WAS bolted, to be easier to access from the trunk, not the passthru. I don't want to climb into the back seat to change CD'*.

No room in the console, no room under the seats. Not sure I'd give up my glovebox, either, but It might be possible to mount it under there. I'll have to check. I really don't want it visible. If the velcro works, I'll be happier for now.
