Your right Taylor D. Its 70x4 @ 4 ohms. Im going to use 6 1/2'* both in the front & the rear. I decided to replace the rear 6x9'*. Would rather have the 6 1/2'* than them.

But as far as going SPL or SQ. I listen mostly to hip hop, rap, or music where the bass is not that tight. Thats why Im not to worried about wether or not it reproduces the bass nice & crisp. I know itll reproduce fine if I need it to. Ill admit though MTX isnt known for its SQ capabilities, but they do perform descent. As always it comes down to the setup. From the x-overs to building the box. Another things is you wont see to much of JL subs at SPL competitions. They are there but not in force like MTX, Kicker, or PPI. MTX has came along way especially since the designer of RF subs came to MTX. Thats why even RF subs have gone downhill. The new subs are descent but definently dont hit as hard as their old punch subs. Plus for the price I cant complain 60% off.But this is only a temp system until I save up more money for the system I wanna get later.

The new Punch Z'* are beefy! Not huge power handling, but that doesn't mean anything.

I agree with Roadrash. I don't have a problem with MTX, I just didn't look into them cause their for SPL setups, which I didn't want. I hear they are a good built subs and amps, just not they way I was going.

RF, I had the old *** punch'* and they were great, not to sure about their quality over the years, they went with the looks of the equipement over the sound, just like AudioBaun. Maybe because the sell their stuff at Best buy and the such. Now the top of the line RF stuff is pretty good I hear. Not real powerful but solid equipment.

Don't let names fool you though, there'* lots of no name brand out there that make great stuff, just not all of it gets advertised and isn't available retail accross the country. I sometimes pick up car audio mags and there'* a ton of stuff that I've never hear of.
