A battery isn't really need unless you go amp crazy. but a RED top to replace the cars battery might not be a bad idea down the road.
You have a good budget there, is that all for bass and amps and stuff, or does that include front speakers too?

for sure........one of my buddies has been making some pretty sweet boxes lately. He made one for his snocross tailer that looks like a coffee table, has an plexiglass x cut out of it, and some red leds in side. he also made another one for a 15 that has a angled/ recessed amp rack built in with plexi to see the magnet of the sub. Plus that ones in a grand marquis with a huge recessed trunk so it sits flush!

I decided Im going to ty out MTX'* components out. Ive always had luck with their amps & subs. Its going to cost me about 1100 dollars for the amps, components, & subs. I should be right around 1500RMS somewhere in that area. This is what Im getting for that price.
T1501D - 1500W X 1 @ 2 Ohms. Class D Mono amp
T564 - 140 X 4 @ 2 Ohms 4 channel Stereo
T9512-04 12" Sub Dual 4 Ohm 1,000W RMS
(2)T8.6 6 1/2" Component 60W RMS
Here is a pic of the 9500 & W7 sitting on their bottoms. The MTX is on the left & W7 on the right.

That is one massive sub, but I agree with the rest that it'* a SPL sub, will pound like a **** but when listening to non-bass music, might not sound too nice. I don't really have any MTX knowledge but I've heard as long as you buy above the bottom line your getting a pretty good product. MTX is allways putting up high SPL #'* at the comps but you don't see them in any SQ comps.
Something caught my eye in your list there,
