Default Push start button

I'm wondering, how would I go about installing a push button start for my car? One like the newer cars have?

Yea, I was aiming for something like a no-key push button start. Great instructions for a keyed push button though!

Any ideas as to a keyless push button start? Practical ideas or not

You have to bypass the immobilizer which is really deep into the whole system, thats why I kept the key

the cars that come with a pushbutton start have a chip just like our key does but the sensor is located near where your pocket it so you can keep the keys in your pocket, or remote fob but they technically still have a key

Yah it is controlled by a bunch of modules and pretty hard to beat since if its tripped disables the fuel pump and starter, which if you disabled and put a push button start in there anyone could break in and be gone in 5 seconds

I can just imagine a fingerprint push button start That'* way to impractical though. I might put in the push button start though. Even with the key, it would be another thing that I can say "My car does this and yours doesn't" :P

Thats how I thought of it, and the way you hook it in you can start the car completely normally or just turn it to ON and push the button

Thumbs up

I have push button start on my Bonnie. run a wire from battery+ to push button, then from push button to starter. thats it. you still need the key. turn the key to the last click before it would usually start car and push button.
