Talking Aeroforce Interceptor Installation

Hey all,
I recently decided to purchase two of the aeroforce scan gauges and noticed that there was not a lot of information about how to install them on our cars. So i thought i might share some of the pictures and tips i found during my installation.

First i decided to mount both gauges in the left air vents. You can simply remove the air duct panel and pop this thing out. Once it is out a simple needle nose pliers and flat head screw driver will help fully disassemble the unit for you.

Once the unit is disassembled you can easily slide the gauges into the old air ducts. They are just the right fit to fit nice and snug and not move on you. Here is a picture of the back side with the gauges installed

Here is a closer shot

You can use the screws on the back of the unit and the metal bracket to help fully secure the gauge into the air duct. If you so chose to go one step farther you can take a zip tie and put it around the metal bracket concentric to the gauge itself to hold the bracket tight to the gauge. Here is the top side view

The back piece of the assembly that has the air vents them selves takes a little bit of modification with a drill to be able to make the gauge fit. This is pretty simple though. Once you have the assembly all put back together you can go back out to the car and re-install the unit. Running the wires down to the OBD2 port is a piece of cake from here and the additional power wire is not required (Atleast on the 2002 SSEI model). Aeroforce states that most pontiacs from 97-03 need this accessory wire connected, well i guess we are the exception. Here is the final installation picture

Please let me know if you have any other questions and i would be happy to help!

So far they have been really cool! I like the ability to monitor basically anything the PCM can see. The black face, black bezel, and the red display are a major plus.

Thats exactly my feeling on it too. "Never take away from the look of the car, only add to it what looks like it should have been there in the first place"

X2. I have my air ride pressures monitor on the opposite side. I can only wish it was red like everything else on the dash.
