Where is cd changer connector in trunk??
Hi everyone, I just bought a Peripheral iPod2Car adapter for my 2002 SLE and it says that I have to connect it to the pre-run cd-changer cable located in the trunk. I did not get the cd-changer option when I bought the car, but it sounds like that cable is run on all models for this particular year. I've been all through the trunk and can't seem to locate it. Can someone please explain where it is, or does someone have a picture?? Thanks a million!

Should be located on the passenger side of the trunk halfway between the wheelwell and the taillight. You'll have to pull back the side carpet to get to it.

Hmm... I pulled the side carpet completely out of both sides and there are some cables and stuff for the rear lights, but I don't see anything that could connect to the harness that is supposed to be for my car. Should the cd changer cable just be along the trunk side and not connected to anything?

It should be there and not connected to anything. I'll try to snap a pic of mine when I get home for your reference, but last time I was in there, it was clipped to a support in back there.

I'm al most 100% sure that the cars taht did not come from the factory with the changer did NOT have the wiring for the cd changer. I remember seeing at one time on wiring diagrams, that the wiring just was not there at all...

My bonneville did not come with a changer and I think I have the harness.
*EDIT* - Man... I could have sworn that I had that connector, but I must have been mistaken... I must have thought that the G104 ground pack was the connector. Sorry for the mis-information!

Thanks for taking the time to check, Kyle. The factory Headunit is a "dock & lock" style, so I think finding the cd changer cable would be the only way to go. For the cars that do have the factory installed cd-changer, are they all located on the passenger side of the trunk between the wheel well and the tail-light?
