As far as the Amp cable, I drilled mine on the pass side on the lower firewall. Make sure you use a rubber grommet and try to use the largest AWG you can afford. I say at least 4AWG. You will thank me later when you upgrade. Oh, and make sure that you are drilling in a spot that is clear of fuel, a/c, electrical lines.

You've already bought all the stuff right? I say put it in! Don't let us dissuade you from buying something else. Whats the worst that can happen? Something dies and you have to replace it. At least all the wiring will be there and ready to go...
