Well I went with an Orion that pushes 100 Watts instead of 170 watts, but Orion is much higher quality so it should be good. Also it was a very expensive amp but I found it refurbed VERY cheap, I saved over $400. Thanks for all the help now I just need to get into contact with djdilliondon about the speakers.

ya orion makes very good audio stuff. are ya going with the 4004 or the 8004???? with you running high grade audio equipment (amp and speakers) I myself would run the 4004 (50 watts rms to each of 4 channels 100 watts peak to each)). cause 100 watts rms to each would be a bit of over kill. but if you where running a cheap quality amp i would say go with 100 watts rms. follow me??

Actually I got 2 2 channel amps, just how I wanted to do it I guess. I got the 6002 and the 3002, I think those were the models. One puts out 75 watts (for the rear) and one puts out 100 watts (EDIT: actually it'* 150 watts) (for the front).

other way around! you want more power in the rear then the front. the rear is a bigger speaker and uses more power then the fronts plus too the rear speakers are farther away so you want it to be just a bit louder. if you wanta put the 100 up front go for it but trust me put it to the rear.

Corvettecrazy, I am just wondering if I should order the set I found on sale or can I actually order the speakers from djdilliondon? I am not being impatient, I am just worried that if I can't get them from him that I might miss the sale.

But the rear puts out lower tones so they are heard easier, and the rear as I understand it is just filler mostly, I want the treble from the front to be well heard over the bass. That is a problem I currently have, the rear speakers are getting more power than the front right now because they are rewired and the treble gets drowned out due to the sub and rear speakers. The rear speakers are 4 ways btw, so they are putting out treble too, but it is drowned out esp. in the front of the car.

well, as i said, theres a lot. start by ignoring everything its840 posted.

the theory of having bass in the back and treble in the rear: that makes no sense whatsoever. you want as much music as you can coming from the front speakers. i would never suggest anything less than a 6.5" driver in front.

another thing i read: sending more power to the rear speakers instead of the front. that again makes no sense. we sit in the front seats, not the rear

theres more, but im tired. hit me up on AIM and ill assist you

first off i never said that. all i said was all your bass comes from the trunk. what you gonna do put your subs on your lap when you are driving??? treble from the rear?? no in the rear you want full range speakers something like a 6x9 3 way and the front you wanta 6.5 like you said with a tweet to go along with it. but if you know about systems you would know that it take far less power to get loud highs then it does to get loud full range.

i have been building car systems for 13 yrs now.

you dont know who i am. dont come on this board disrespecting me if you dont like what i said then just "correct" what you think i said wrong!

OK, calm down, I just want information. When you explain it like that it makes a little more sense. You just need to explain things in more detail, I don't take things as is...I like to know why. Well, I have good news, I screwed up on my ordering of the amps and I'm not getting those two. I looked more and found an Orion 8004 refurbed. That means 100wattsx4, that should be much better suited and it will save me space and even be slightly cheaper. Any more good info would be appreciated, but please explain in detail.
