Dear old dad didn't think so. Smacked me for chuckling though. What made me laugh was that they had triangulated the location, but couldn't figure out which house it was right away because there was no antenna on the roof.

I was thinking about getting a CB there for a bit but then started to fade away. Still is in the back of my head. Maybe might put one in some day.

i had small one on my lumina with a good cb, and i could only get a mile of coverage...
still fun to mess with, as long there are other ppl on
i did it when everyone else in high school in the phase...

The selections aren't as numerous as they were when the things were really popular. But you could probably find something. The thing about them is they need a big antenna to get good range and reception. They transmit on the AM band which is pretty noisy. The other drawback is the channels seem crowded with non-english speaking cabbies for the most part. At least in Chicago.

I used to have 2 8 ft whips on my p/u until I broke'em off....had a 7-8 mile range

don't they make a cb antenna that plugs into your regular car antenna or something like that. Seems like I seen one of those in JC Whitney catalog or something.
