SPL, DB'*, etc
I was just wondering, about all of you bass heads out there. What is the highest DB/SPL have you been able to hit in your Bonnies. The highest I've been able to hit is a 143.2db. If anybody has had a higher number. I need to know how. I have more than enough power but just can't get any higher. Any response would be great. THANX

What do you got in your trunk buddy?
But more importantly how big is your alternator?
DId you upgrade your battery and big 3?
What AWG is your wiring?
What subs are you running and in what type of box?
What amps do you have pushing these subs?
What kind of meter are you getting measured on?!
Thanks!

Right now I have 2 Xsite XS1585 in a sealed box with 1ft^3 per sub with a Audiobahn 2300HC pushing them. Granted the 2300 isn't the best compition amp but for a DAILY GROUNG POUNDER it gets the job done. I am running 0 AWG power wire with 2 AWG ground. I have upgraded my alt. to a 200 amp. Thats all I have really done. I don't want to waste my time with a cap because those are worthless in my mind. If I added another battery or two that would but me in a different in a different class. I attend USACI events when ever they are near by and I would like to stay in stock class. Eventually I will have pics of my car up but don't know when.
Like I said my highest db reading is a 143.2. But that was on a TermLab mic which is hard to hit a high number on any wayz.

heres my newest system..
2 Resonant Engineering SX12s
4 cu with dual tunings 51hz with the bolt in port out, 29hz with the bolt in port in
Right now im running off a Boss ID3K.1 which was bench tested and puts out 1806 at 1 ohm which is what the subs are wired to. I had RE custom make them with dual 4s versus the stock dual 2s
I will be adding a Hifonics Colossus in December for the 2006 Db Drag season. Right now im in the 140s.
I dont want to sound rude but I highly doubt your running 140s with a sealed box. I would love to see it in person. I have been around in SPL enough to know those subs off that amp in a small sealed enclosure is not going to pressurize any bonneville.
It would literally take several of those subs. I have over 200 sq ft of deadner, a huge HO alt, and well over 30 hrs into this SPL box which was designed by me and Resonant Engineering( Thanks David). in USACI are you allowed to have doors open? car running? windows down? Where is the mic placed? What version of the Termlab software?
Again not tryin to be rude but 143.* in a 1 cu sealed enclosures in a Bonne isnt going to produce that high of a number. I would again love to see ya do it in person.
Pics of my current build up can be seen here. Again this box has 2 different port options.

No need to apologize about seeming rude. People need the truth. That 143.2 I did was with two other battaries hooked up as well. The Highest I've been without the extra batt. is 142.2. Go on soundoff.org, check out the event results of the show that KCIR hosted on 6/19/05. Look at basic stock 301-900. You will see my score of 142.2 with the competitors name being Brian Lamme. That is me, I'm not really sure on how to prove it but there is no reason for me to lie. I measured my box which came out to 1.7 ft^3. little bigger than what I said but it'* all about the same thing. And I do apologize as well if I seem like I'm being rude cause I am not trying to be. Any replies from anybody would be great.
