Making them face the back will make it louder, but im not sure how much louder because every car is different. having your subs right up against the seats can also make them sound muffled some, If you decide to turn them around put them as close as you can to the back without getting cancelation. remember also that if you put them too close they can still sound muffled that way too.

Well, you know how mine'* bolted to the rear crossmember? Yeah, it'* a lot. I may change it so it'* got some padding and isn't so "direct".

having them up against the seat facing the front of the car can make them sound kind of muddy

It all depends on each car. You never know until you try every position. (I myself spent nearly 2 hours perfecting mine, they were good either way forwards or backwards)

But you can't have subs too close to any surface!!! They'll hit it even. If ports are going by a wall, they need as much room as they are wide. So 3" port ATLEAST 3" from the wall.

Damnit, i watned to put my amp there, but the springs woulda been a PITA to mess with.

I agree....I will have to try it moved about...
unfortunately the look I want is the plexi showing and the (3) 10'* forward..with the middle one coming out the center seat hole.
It is a sealed enclosure...and i have it just back from the seat about 4-5 inches...sounds pretty good.
I am going to disassemble the box and reseal it...the manufacturer didn't do as well as I would have thought...it is a remanufacture...so that could be it...but it looks and sounds 100% new
There are only 4 out of the 8 screws holding each sub in also?
But i will fix it up.
