Putting in the tweeter component in the front door
My 97 SE' only has one speaker in the door, but the slot for the tweeter is there but is being taken up by a card holder clip thing. Can I get a component set from another bonne and install it into my door, so I then can have the speaker and the tweeter, instead of just one speaker?

You would probably be better off putting in an aftermarket pair of 5 1/4s rather than a stock component set. Or you can just add the tweeters.

I've never seen a bonnie without the tweeters installed, so I've got a concern. If you add a tweeter, make sure that it is pre-wired, and that it'* wired directly to your 5.25" speaker. Also make sure the 5.25" speaker has a passive crossover on it (a couple can-shaped deals soldered to the back of it).
Also, if you're planning on adding aftermaket HU anytime soon, you'll blow the tweeters if you turn it up very much. So you may just want to go aftermarket speakers if you want better sound.
I considered installing components, but decided to install 3-ways, after listening to the systems and comparing prices (3-ways=money saved). I was able to get a pair of 90dB sensitivity, 45 watts RMS (180 peak), 3-ways sony'* off ebay new for 40 bucks, including shipping.

I think the tweeters have crossovers built into the wiring, so when you plug them in its ready. The two wires from the radio are actually the same wire, just split into two leads inside the door.

Well, I picked a pair of front door speakers with the tweeters yesterday from the junkyard. I am going to try to install them this weekend, I even think the speakers are better than the stock ones that came in mine. Yea, I do have a aftermarket HU (Pioneer), but when I had it installed two years ago they put "caps" or somethiing like that, on my door speaker, because they were afraid I might blow them, needless to say they still work.
