Aftermarket Headunit (not the question that always gets asked)
alright so I'm probably going to buy this headunit.

But I was wondering how many watts the stock headunit in my bonneville is putting out to the speakers because if its putting out more watts than the alpine aftermarket one I'm going to wait until I'm able to buy an amp also (and new speakers). So, how does that aftermarket headunit compare to the stock headunit; I guess that'* what I'm asking.
Also, what headunits do you guys have? And how much modding did you have to do (if any) to make it fit/look factory?

factory radios without the amplified system probably only put out 7-12 watts. Aftermarket radios often put out around 20 watts constant and 40 watts dynamically. You will be much happier with an aftermarket radio. It will have a cleaner signal to the speakers and it will in most cases give you more control and the abillity to upgrade your system with ipod, satelite, hd radio, and you also in most cases have pre amp outputs so you can add amps. Alpine is decent but I honestly perfer eclipse because they also have higher voltage pre outs than alpine. Pioneer does too. Either way, you will not be disappointed. The wiring harness for our vechile is a bit pricey but you only gotta buy it once... I hope you get what you are looking for in a head unit.

I was also wondering if someone (or more) would be willing to put up pictures of what it looks like where they had to dremel behind the headunit spot to make it fit. and if you have the metra dash kit for 2000+ preferably id also like a picture of what your headunit looks like installed with that kit also installed to see what it looks like.
