Default Front speaker wiring

Guys, I have a question. I want to replace the front speakers in my 92 SE. I have the 2 speaker grill set up. My question is that I go and buy a regular speaker (not component) will it play a full range of music or will some re wiring have to be done? I'm asking because of the "component" set up in the now.

Thanks,
Chris

ok here is how it works....

there are 2 connectors in the door, one for the 5.25 and one for the tweeter...

the stock 5.25 and the tweeter get the same signal from the HU and use the same connector, now the Tweeter has a bass blocker on it to only play the higher sounds

so when you replace the 5.25 you will have a full range drive plus the factory tweeter

Frickin sweet. I was worried no one would get what I was saying! Thanks. Now any tips for fixing a tweeter that keeps cutting out when all connections are tight? :P

I might know of a couple laying in my basement. You'd have to convince 1993 sle to give one up ..(Pat..are they still on the panels? )
