Default aftermarket HU on a 2000 bose system

I know that everyone says "If you want base, get a whole system install", but I cant afford that right now. I have an HU that I want to put in my bonne. Can I just hook up one of those harnesses and run some RCA and call it good?

A couple other Q'*
1. Will someone get me the link that I've seen on this site but cant find, that has the 2000 bonne aftermarket wire harness.
2. Am I able to just hook up the harness and it will play out my stock speakers? I've heard something about the amp being digital. Does somebody know something about this?

Appreciate any help

I think it'* extremely difficult to wire into your stock deck because of the data bus system..

for the sake of possibly giving you wrong advice, I would have to ask you to post on the metra forum and ask this same question. They are the manufacturer behind the digital interfaces. a link to that forum is below: Ask the same question you did here and make sure you let them know you have BOSE and NO Onstar.

I posted on the forum you gave me with know reply yet. Im not going to just buy something without knowing for sure, so with that in mind would you tell me which one you would chose and why. It would have to plug into that ribbon connetor on my dash, but it doesn't look like any of those have the right connector. Just for the sake of guessing, what do you guys think?

im not realy to sure on t is but ive been told that the bose systems are running at 2 ohms and all aftermarket headunits run at 4 ohms. now the amp it was made to run at 2 ohms and not to sure about running that at 4 ohms it might mess something up. and the speakers are 2 ohms rated as well. im not 100% sure on all of this. i have a 99 with bose system and this is what i have been told. pretty much you have to replace all of it, not just one peice at a time. sorta sucks, but..... would someone else that is knowleagable in this area please help out cause i was interested in this myself. thanks

If the Bonneville was prior to '00, then it would use the 70-1858. '00 and up
Bonnevilles do not have a harness, it has an edge connector that remains fixed to
the back of the dash. The Axxess digital interface for this car is the GMOS-05, and
the antenna adapter is the 40-VW10. the GMOS-05 is for onstar equipped vehicles but i do believe this one will work without OS equipped but just incase wait for a reply from a Metra Technician Such as Matt

are you trying to run another hu into your stock amp? if so you can't do that your stock amp can't work with any aftermarket hu let alone wire it in there. what you need to do us by another amp and run that.
go to metra and get a antenna adapter
http://www.metraonline.com/product.aspx?sku=40-VW10
and go to schosche and get a radio wire harness with door chime to put in a HU
