Power wire to the battery
ok since our car batteries have side mount terminals, what do you guys use for that? Ive installed a system in my old car which had top post terminals and that was cake just put the ring terminal around it and done. The bonnies battery seems alittle complicated since the power and ground terminals screw in. What do you guys reccomend. And wow, i love how easy it is to install a system in a bonnie with the battery being under the back seat. Im used to running it all the way to the engine bay.

no, theres a fuse box that looks the same as the one in the engine bay on the drivers side under the back seat, there is a nut and bolt under the little red cover

I run 4 gauge, since you are running a shorter wire you can go higher gauge because there will be less resistance through the wire, 2 gauge won't hurt if you wanna run that, just remember to have an inline fuse or circuit breaker within 3 feet of the connection to power and 3 foot long ground at the max

ok thanks alot. So what does it actually do with thicker gauge wiring? Will it affect the subwoofer at all like make it hit harder or is it just a preferance and/or safety thing?

well thicker wire means theres more copper in it which allows it to carry more current, if you use wire that is higher than the reccomended for the amp and a fuse that is over-rated for the wire you are using you could cause the wire to melt and cause a lot of issues, going lower than what is reccomended will get more power to the amp making it hit harder, but it will draw more from the battery and charging system

with only a 400 watt max amp, 8 guage wire should be plenty to power that. im runnin 0 guage in my bonne, but i also have 2 12" solobarics and an amp to each one that requires quite a bit of power. but if you plan on upgrading to a bigger amp at some point you could just put in 4 guage so you dont have to change it later. you might have to cut the tip down or get a splitter that runs into 8 guage tho becuz a 400 watt amp probably wont accept any bigger than 8 guage.
