Default PIONEER DEH-P77DH? Anybody own one?

I'm thinking of buying this radio for my 92 bonnie. Is it decent? Will it play cd'* I burn on my PC? Do car cd players skip a lot? Is it easy to install?

Yes that is a decent cdplayer, however if u go down to a single din sized unit, you will get more features for the same price. where do u plan on getting it from

you talking abuot the one with the multiple pre-outs and security system or the 47 model? I had the lower one in my previous car, it works great, buttons are nicely spaced, the screen shows EVERYTHING, and it worked good. The only problem with the base one is it only has one pre-out. They have all the sound adjustments you'll ever need too, the only reason to go to a single din moden is for some fancy screen/mp3 playback.

I have a 77. Real nice. Decent output. Looks good, fits nice. I use the alarm, it was a pain to install but it works nice. When it goes off you don't want to be in the car anymore.

I am getting the same unit for christmas... Can't wait! The only reason i chose that one is for the completely stock fit, figured it would look better then the DIN sized units and they're accompanying installation kit.

Just out of curiosity, whats all the other specs of your system??
I've pretty much decided on everything, other then the sub amp..
This is what i will have once i got everything... Obviously... :

Electronics:
HU - Pioneer DEH-P77DH
*.AMP - JBL 600.1 (1 X 600w RMS @ 2)
CHNGR - Pioneer CDX-P1280

Speakers:
Infinity 50.5cs - upfront
Infinity 692.5 - in rear deck
(DUAL) Infinity 100.3DVC - subs (in Bassworks sealed enclosure)

Possibility:
MAINAMP - Lanzar VIBE428 (4 X 125w RMS @ 4)

I'm hoping it all sounds alright. Do you guys think this setup is good for someone who wants it a little bit loud, but mainly just clear crisp music at loud volumes with tight bass that isn't supposed to become a nuisance to other people???

Hey KEOTOK

What did you have to do to install the alarm?
What does it do when it goes off? Does it disable anything?
Does your factory alarm system still function, and is it still independant from the Pioneer alarm?

Someone who already has the DEH-P77DH installed should post pictures of the install! I'd love to see how it looks all complete, i'm sure tonyg would too..

I think it would be sweet to get a setup with a 12disc cd changer that can read CD-RW'* and Mp3'*, and have a deck with a single cdplayer. You could have 1000'* of songs just in your cd changer!!

I could imagine the hassle of trying to find music though, hahaha
