Default 5.25" recommendations

i am working on getting the system...what is everyone recommending for front door speakers... i want to stay under about $50. i was looking around at best buy and the sonys and rockfords sounded pretty good. has anyone had a problem with mounting depths? i dont want to cut anything

I think Crutchfield is closing out a pair of Polk 5.25" speakers at $50 for the pair....I'd jump on that. Polk is good stuff.

Ive always been happy with Polk. Buit if you are having mounting depth problems you could always add spacers to help out with that. With those you could also go bigger in size.

Correction....the Polks at Crutchfield are $59.99, that includes $30 off the regular price.....not a bad deal at all if you can swing it. They include speaker wiring adapters for free too.
