Default 4x6 speaker options....?

I don't want to put 4x6'* back in the doors. Is there anyway I can fit 5-1/4 or 6-1/2 without getting the different door panels? I would like to stick with HiFonics Audio. Thanks ahead of time.

You don't have to change the whole door panel (I did it in my old 1992 SE).
You can also get adapter plates to mount a 4" speaker, but that doesn't provide much music.
Matter of fact I still have the plates here -IIRC I saw them on Monday when I was doing some rearranging. LMK if you are interested and for $5 I'll ship them to you.

So you think I could make the hole bigger around the 4x6 opening and install a 6-1/2? Oh and how much clearance do I have for the window or is that not a issue?

you have a TON of room.

I mounted my 6.5 behind the fold in of the door frame and still had lots of clearance.

fold in being the surface the door panel meets on the edges. My mounting plate was behind that.
