Das Buick has bump!!
hey guys, just posting because im excited about my $5 sub system. got the subs in the pics, plus an offbrand one and the amp in trade for my cruzin cooler about a week ago. then i got the line out converter and the amp install kit for free thanks to autozone rewards. so ive only got the $5 i paid for the cooler at goodwill in this. which im excited about.
i took a few pics and a vid of the install. (yes i know i rednecked it by running it under the car, but it was about 10 times easier that way.)
vids got explicit lyrics, nsfw!
here is the video link. my apologies for the sound. or lack of it. i didnt realize my camera couldnt handle those low frequencies. it just kindof mutes it when it gets loud.

I like it when it costs little with trades and you end up with boomer sound.
With the redneck wire install, just consider getting a rubber grommet where it enters into rear floor & it sealed.
I had to look twice on your rear bumper...woh.

Oh I thought it was a larger caliper and that is what you used to make the hole in the rear floor !!

Eeek! That wiring looks like a fire waiting to happen. Should be run inside the car with the rest of the wiring (on the opposite side of the car from the RCAs). It'* not very hard to pull it through the firewall then pull up the trim and tuck it along the doors. One small cut in that wire and you can ground against the frame and best case scenario you blow the fuse, worst case your car burns to the ground. Would hate to see anything happen to that beautiful car of yours, or worse, to its passengers.

Hopefully it is just temporary Tom. I think Jason just want to get to hear it ASAP.

Can't really hear it in the video, but as much as those speakers are moving, it should be as good as you say it is.
Now put that wire in the car like you've been told. If you're lifting up the carpet to run a wire, you might find some change to help offset that $5 bill.

haha. i plan to as soon as the incoming storm passes. it was about an hour from dark and i was in a rush. should be like that less than a week.
on that topic, anyone with my body know a good passthrough to use? if it comes down to it ill just get the 10 ton jack and some stands and crawl up under there and look, but it would be nice to have an area to look for. the whole firewall is covered in insulation so it should be fun without ant pointers. lol.

i normally just drill a hole by the fan/heat duct high enough to not be visible. then tape some stiffer wire like solid 12g to it and stick it in the hole. give your self enough to poke it to somewhere you can reach. pull it in and zip tie it up. then just run it down the pass side under the carpet and run everything else on the driver side
