2001 SSEI
So I'm interested in getting a complete new audio system, speakers, subs, and new deck my preferred brand is Kenwood Excelon been a fan of Kenwood for awhile.
Going to ask some noob questions so bear with me lol.
Dimensions of all the speakers? Front and Rear Doors Speakers, and Rear Speaker Deck, and will I be able to still hook up the Steering Wheel controls to the Deck and I like how the factory deck displays the song name and everything when I listen to the radio will that be available on the new deck? or does it depend on what deck I am getting?

Front doors 6.5"
Tweeters 1"
Rear doors 5.25"
Rear deck 6x9"
SWI-JACK to keep steering wheel controls.

Not sure on what decks can display song names. Mine can when I'm playing mp3/WMA discs. I've been wondering that myself, how the radio stations transmit the info along with the tunes.

Thanks man, time to compile my wishlist ooooh yeah!
While I'm here another question Doube-DIN or Double Sized receivers will they fit in or would I have to make it fit or is that just a complete no go because of the dimensions all weird?

Re: New Audio System
Phyrestorm,
Being an industry insider, I know that Kenwood offers a steering wheel remote adapter of their own, to go with some of their decks. It does look as though a double din headunit may fit in the space alloted for the factory. I'm getting an DNX8120 for myself soon and will be putting it in a '02 SSEI. Also the feature that gives you song information (from the radio station) over the air is called RDS (radio data system) it'* a feature of the radio that you have to see if the headunit you're buying is capable of. Most MP3 players will give you the track info if it'* there when you make the disc or on your portable!
