Default 1994 Bonneville Radio Problems

Hello,

Recently I bought a 94 bonneville with a radio that didn't work. The previous unit'* backlights all worked, and the theftloc light blinked, but the LCD did not work at all. The new HU I put in is now installed, and the theftloc light on it is blinking, and it will accept a CD into it, but the LCD does not light up and neither do any of the buttons on it.

The car has no other electrical problems other than the driver side window will not work at some rare and random times the car is driven.

I have checked the radio fuses, and they all are intact.

If anyone can help please post, not having a radio sucks.

just because the LCD dosent light up does not mean that the radio doesnt work....the radio doesnt work because the theftlock has been activated......

well its tricky, the dealer can do it, or i know there is a 1800 number that the dealers call for the theftlock....if you can get that number and the dealer code you will be set, alot of times the VIn of the car needs to be present, but i guess that they can take the numbers off the radio and get them by that....this one is gonna be tricky cause you dont know want car it came out of.....

i would try the dealer route first and see what happens
